Hair and Body Favourites

Hello my lovelies!

Todays blog is Hair and Body Favourites. I've never really been bothered about these sort of products but recently I have spent a lot of time choosing what I am going to have so lets start! -

This is the Original Source Shower Gel in the scent 'Raspberry and Vanilla'. I always have lovely comments from people when I use this. Its really moisturising as well as good at cleaning you and it smells delicious. Its a mix between fruity and creamy and just smells perfect in Summer especially. Its perfect for anyone with a tight budget as its only £2.30 which is a bargain and I have been using it everyday recently.

Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub is the best exfoliator that I have tried (and I've tried a fair few!) It has a coarse salt scrub consistency which I love but it doesn't hurt your skin or anything like that. The smell is gorgeous, its not fruity or anything it just makes you feeling clean and awake. It also comes off really easily, just a splash of warm water, rub it off and you're done. I think it is well priced for what it is and you feel lovely after you use it. It comes in two different sizes, 50 ml and 300 ml. I have both but this one is the 50 ml which is great for travelling! I have had the 300 ml one for about 6 months, use it 4 ish times a week and not even a third has gone! Lasts forever:)

Aussi shampoo doesn't get raved about as much as I think it should. This is the Aussi Mega Shampoo and its great! It is quite thick so is good for people who have long/damaged hair. It has a fruity scent but it isn't too overpowering! The only thing that I don't like about it is, I have curly hair and this is quite a heavy shampoo so sometimes I find my hair is weighed down by it but that is just my opinion! You can also get a conditioner in this range but I don't use conditioner as it makes my hair too silky so I couldn't review that for you but from what I have heard its very good and is also quite similar to this! Its about £6.00 so isn't too expensive!

As I don't use conditioner my hair sometimes feels a little dry at the ends so I use this to rescue it. Its the Herbal Essences Split Ends Protection Cream. It has red raspberry and silk extracts in it so makes your hair smell nice as well. It is like a leave in conditioner so I just put it on once I have towel dried my hair and leave my hair to dry naturally. Also, I frequently get asked this, no, I do not blow-dry my hair I always let my hair dry naturally. This is a quick and easy step to put into your routine to protect your ends!

So those were a few of my favourites at the moment and I will be doing single reviews on a load of items soon so comment if you want me to do anything for you! Also I would like to give a shoutout to Emily because she has been asking so I thought I would do it for her, love youu Em!

My 6 Steps To Perfect Nails

Hello All!

So today I am going to be doing My 6 Steps To Perfect Nails. I don't really focus on my nails so I'm not an expert but this routine really works for me to make my nails healthy and looking lovely. This is going to be a simple routine as its quicker to do than doing lots of fancy designs (although that does look lovely!) Lets start then -

Wash your hands and remove any nail polish

Okay so these two things seem obvious but a lot of people miss them out! Firstly, wash your hands! Make sure you get any dirt out from underneath your nails as its really unhygienic if you just leave it there, and it will annoy you after a while hah! Also it will just get any bacteria of your hands before you start. Secondly you need to take any nail vanish off before starting. I use the well know Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover When I say 'take it off' I mean take it ALL off! Try to get rid of any of those bits that get stuck in your cuticles, then you'll have a clean base to start on!

Soften and push back your cuticles

For the next step I use the OPI Nail Treatments Avoplex Nail and Cuticle Replenishing Oil. This is quite a pricey nail oil as I think its around £16.50 but its worth it! But any cuticle oil will do the job:) I just apply this on my cuticles, wait a few minutes and then push my cuticles back with a pusher backer. Then I traipse back to the bathroom and wash my hands again to get all of the oil off!

File and Cut

Next you will need to file and cut your nails. Cutting them isn't essential, it just depends on how short you would like your nails so you can miss this step out if you want. But if you do need to cut your nails, do it now. It doesn't matter how you cut them, its just down to how you like them at the end of the day. Then once your nails are at the length that you want them its time to file. Any old nail file will do, and just file them to how you like them.

Base Coat

I will always apply a base coat as I hate it when you have had a nail vanish on and you go to take it off and it has stained your nails! Sally Hansen Double Duty Base Coat is the best for preventing that happening and it is also a top coat as well so its a great 2 in 1 product. Its around the £5 which is great for what it does! I just apply this on my nails, one coat only, and then its onto the fun part...

Nail Colour

Now this is the part where I spend ages deciding on what nail colour I'm going to choose. At the moment I find that as it is heading towards Autumn I am using slightly darker colours and my favourite dark at the moment is this one, its the Rimmel Lycra Pro nail vanish. This is in the shade 341 Chic and Cheerful (also know as Mushroom). I think they do 8  different shades which include mostly dark colours but a couple of corally pinks as well. Also I love the formula of these nail vanishes as they glide on so smoothly and dry pretty quickly. I always apply two coats just because I think it lasts longer but one coat does the job fine. It says that it lasts up to 10 day wear, I wouldn't say 10 days but around 6-7, which is still really good!

Top Coat

Last of all, I apply my top coat. Usually I use Seche Vite but I have run out of that so I am using my Double Duty for the time being. I apply one coat on top of my nail vanish and then I'm done!

I hope this routine works for you too and if you have any questions just leave them below!

Top 5 CHEAP Drugstore Products

Hey there!

Today, I am going to be doing my 'Top 5 CHEAP Drugstore Products'. This one is makeup themed but there will be skincare and haircare ones too! I just want to say, that, these are going to be the cheaper products from the drugstore as I have had lots of people asking for a favourites for people on a very tight budget. I will be doing a more expensive drugstore favourites coming up though so don't you worry:) These are my favourite underdog products, which means not very many people rave about them! So lets jump straight in there and start -

First of all is the Rimmel 9-in-1 BB Cream. I have this in the shade light as I am pretty pale! This is light to medium coverage which is good as I go for quite a natural look. It primes, moisturises, minimises pores, conceals, covers, smoothes, mattifies, brightens and helps protect. I love this product especially in the summer as it has an SPF of 25 which is great! I wouldn't recommend this product for people with dry skin as it is quite a matte BB Cream so it may look a little cakey on any dry areas. Also, as I just said it is quite a matte finish so if you prefer a dewy finish then I would go for something else. I use a bit of Olay moisturiser mixed in with it as I prefer it like that. It is on sale for £6.99 which is a bargain for a BB Cream!

The Natural Collection is probably one of my least favourite brands in the drugstore but this eyeshadow, I love. It is in the shade 'Barley' which is creamy gold sort of colour with sparkle running through it which makes it look so pretty. It is so pigmented and is great to use in the inner corner or under the brow to highlight. I sometimes even use it on my cheeks as a highlighter so is a great 2 in 1 product! Its only £1.79 so is literally next to nothing.

Next is the NYC High Definition Liquid Eyeliner. This is in pen form and draws a lovely thin line for you on your lash line, it is also great for cat eye flicks. It stays on for hours as well, even on a hot day it does not budge! Quite a lot of people seem to say that it isn't pigmented and comes out light but this is not the case for me. Mine is in the shade 889 Ultra Black and is so pigmented and comes out jet black. It is on the market for £1.99 so is very affordable.

MUA Lipstick is so cheap its unbelievable! Its is only £1 and is really very pigmented, yes it has its flaws but you can forgive it as it is that cheap it doesn't really matter:) I have this lipstick in the shade 14 which is a nude, my lips but better colour. It is very moisturising and isn't too matte. One of the flaws is that you have to touch it up throughout the day as it only stays on for about 3 hours tops. I would definitely recommend this to anyone on a budget!

Last of all is my favourite out of everything. You will probably be saying, Honor, this is not a cheap product. I know its not very cheap but these are amazing brushes and a worth every penny. They are the Real Techniques Brushes. These brushes vary in price as you can buy them in collection packs in fours or single brushes. I think they start at around £7 and they go up to £12 ish for singular brushes. It is about £21 for a pack. The packs are - The Core Collection, Starter Set, Travel Essentials and Limited Edition Duo Fibre Set. My favourite set is the Core Collection as it just does it for me!

So those were my cheaper drugstore favourites, hope this helped you. Be sure to comment anything below.

Skincare Favourites #1

Hello lovelies!

Okay so today I am going to be blogging about my skincare favourites. This obviously isn't my whole skincare routine but these are probably the ones I come back to most. Skincare is a very important thing for me and I try to keep my skin looking as flawless as possible, naturally (although sometimes I do get the odd spot!). So these are a few of my favourites that keep my skin looking radiant!

The first product is the Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion. This is a great way to get off your make-up (heavy/light) and it also makes your skin feeling lovely and clean. I use this product after my make up remover just so that I know that all of my make up has gone! It has a blend of multi-vitamins, skin-loving ingredients and gentle cleansers to cleanse and soften your skin. This is on the market for £2.99 which is such a bargain for what it does. You can pick it up in any local Boots or Superdrug stores!

Next up if another Simple product, surprise surprise:) It is the Simple Blackhead Eliminating Face Scrub. I don't really get blackheads and I think the main reason that I don't get them is because I use this every night! This is a sort of exfoliant and you just apply it around your nose and chin, massage it in and wash of with a flannel/muslin cloth. It has really worked for me and is around the £5 mark.

Lush products haven't been my favourites in the past but recently I have been on a bit of a Lush haul, oops! I think my favourite product that I bought is this one, Lemony Flutter. Its a very thick, creamy sort of texture and you use it as a moisturiser. I use it on my cuticles, elbows, knees and heels as they all get quite dry at times. Using this works a treat! I really recommend this product if you suffer from dry skin or if you just like quite a heavy moisturiser. The only bad thing about it really is the smell, its a bit overwhelming at first but you soon get used to it!

Last of all is the lip balm that I have been using for agesss! This is like holy grail for me, its Blistex Intensive Moisturiser Hydrating Lip Cream (quite a mouth full!) This stuff works wonders for me. I don't use this in the day time as it is quite thick and sometimes can leave your lips looking a bit white. You can use it in the day though if you want as it also has SPF 10 in it, I just choose not to! I use it every night, right at the end of my skincare routine and let it sink in while I am sleeping. Its one of those products that you know that is working as soon as you put the first bit on. I can't stress how much everyone needs this. Every morning I wake up to smooth lips and it is all due to this! It is £2.63 and worth every penny!

Those are my skincare favourites, if you have any questions on my skincare or products just comment below!

August Favourites 2013

Hello Everyone!

So I am hopefully going to be doing monthly favourites on my beauty, skincare and occasionally the odd random thing that I am liking aha! Also just before I get started I would like to say, if you need me to review anything for you then just leave a comment in anyone of my blogs asking me the question(s) that you have and I will do a whole blog post on that one product so that you know everything about it before you go out and spend your money on it! So ramble over,  lets get into the favourites -

This month has actually been a pretty good month for beauty buys and bargains haha! The first thing that I have been enjoying using is a well known concealer that most beauty guru's love, its the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer. The brand actually used to be called ' Collection 2000' but it has changed to ' Collection' now. This product is a great concealer to cover up any blemishes/spots that you have and even under eye circles as well as it is pretty heavy coverage so it will hide them all! I actually use a different concealer under my eyes which is more highlighting but you can use this one as well if you like! I have the shade 2 'light'.  This is on the market for £4.19 so is very inexpensive which is a massive bonus!

This is the Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in the shade 'Sweet Cheeks'. I actually bought this thinking that it would be rubbish as it is only around £1.50 but it completely surprised me. It is actually really highly pigmented and is such a lovely colour, very natural looking. This is such a nice product and I shall definitely be investing in some of their other shades!

MAC Eyeshadows are probably my favourite eyeshadows but as they are high-end I prefer not to spend that much but every once in a while a will branch out and buy myself one. This one is in the shade 'Woodwinked'. It is a very well known shade and I would say it is probably my all time favourite shadow (along with 'All That Glitters'). It is a light browny, bronze shade with a hint of gold glitter running through it. I use it either all over the lid or in the crease, it looks lovely both ways!

This is my favourite mascara that I have used so far, it is the No.7 Exceptional Definition Mascara. I use this everyday, I LOVE IT! It separates your lashes so much and makes your lashes look a lot longer than they actually are. I have recommended this product to lots of people and there isn't a single person that I know that doesn't like it! Its £11.00 so its not totally high-end but not drugstore/highstreet price.

Last but definitely not least is the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover. Oh my, this is like no other remover. I'm quite lazy for taking my nail vanish off because it takes so long but now that I have got this I am a happy bunny! It has a sponge with a hole in the middle and you put your nail in and twist it around, take it out and your nail vanish is off! It takes about 2 seconds for every nail which is perfect if you quickly need to take it off. Its £4.99 which is quite pricey for a nail vanish remover but it stops you from having to buy cotton pads as well, well worth the money!

So those were my August favourites, if you have any other questions just comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
